The musician HZ and the choreographer Xiaoke cooperated as independent artists together and try to find a new aesthetic sense between live music and improvisation dance.

  • The collaboration began in June 2004, they met each other in Chinese triennium Art Exhibition in Nanjing (one of Chinese city), then they met again in Shanghai in 2005, and tried to build some connection with art.
  • 2006 they cooperated in Shanghai and used the name of ¡°Touch Listening¡± £¨T.L£©for their unique performance. They performed in ShanghaiZhuqizhanArt museum, Beijing Art eastern Area, Beijing Caochangdi art area and Shanghai Yuyintang music factory.
They do not want to limit themselves to a certain style but creates pieces without set boundaries, so the result will be different and new each time.

¡°Touch Listening¡± combines the modern art element and Chinese traditional culture ¡°Chan¡± to build a totally new live feeling. The music contains modern electric style, and also adds Chinese traditional music style, the sapiential music by HZ connect with Xiaoke¡¯s talented dance.Xiaoke keeps touching the music during the performance and does not face HZ, just use the sensitive feeling to catch what the music wants her to express with body. In the whole performance two artists being calm and focus on their inside mind to create their art, you can find they always sit or just small movement to get some connection with each other, in fact they always transmit information and sensitive art feeling to each other.

It is interrelated with Chinese ¡°Chan¡± culture, which insists the human idiodynamics as the artless approach to connect with the world.

HZ and Xiaoke they respect their own bodies and recept to connect with the audients and the world.
